Beyond 2012:
Hope for a
With all the hype and conflicting information on the subject, it’s hard to know what to think about our future on this planet. Could it really be the “end of the world?” Is “Armageddon” at hand? Are we doomed to go through the crises portrayed in the movies?
It’s likely that, in fact, we will go through increasing geological and climate shifts over the next several years. It may also be that many of the social systems we’re used to will not survive. Yet—and more importantly—there are consistencies in both the prophecies and the forecasts that give us hope.
Join Dr. Ruth Miller as she gives us her latest “update” on this upcoming turning point in human history—what it is, what it can do, and what it means for us today.
Specifically, she will address:
§ What are the prophecies and what do they mean?
§ What do current forecasts tell us?
§ What are the alternatives?
§ What can our children’s children’s children expect?
§ How can we prepare?
As usual, she’ll bring a relevant portion of her library for participants to scan—and copies of the inspirational video HOPE (which will be shown) will be available at cost ($2).
Rev. Dr. Ruth L. Miller was a futurist and policy analyst before becoming a minister, and continues to monitor developments in that field. Her degrees in anthropology, environmental studies, and cybernetics give her a unique perspective on all things cultural and scientific, and her lifelong interest in consciousness studies has led to a powerful new understanding of our human capacity.
Saturday Seminars at Unity by the Sea, including lunch, are provided on a love-offering basis.
